Yoga

History and Inspiration

Beginning when she was a teenager, Carly’s 25 years of steady yoga practice is the foundation of her perceptive sensitivity. It is this cultivation of presence that has informed her precise, warm-hearted instruction for the past decade with equal parts respect for the practice as a lifestyle, and irreverence toward perfectionism or self-seriousness.

Carly uses non-invasive, hands-on assists and alive, understandable language to lead students toward recognizing and meeting themselves where they are. She encourages students to work with their unique needs and pacing to advance in their practice. Strengthening our physical container allows us to move through the world with more mental buoyancy and emotional resilience. Students find her guidance challenges them to deepen their sense of agency and courage while retaining a sense of humor and curiosity.

Her practice and teaching education is based in constant learning from multiple experienced teachers over the years, but is primarily informed by thousands of hours in Todd Jackson’s Inner Body Yoga and Biodynamic trainings.
